What We Do

Managing the development process as one integrated discipline

Renewable-energy development is not a sequence of isolated technical tasks. Land, permitting, grid, design, cost, revenue and capital structure are interdependent. SES manages these elements together from the earliest stage so projects are shaped around deliverability, bankability and long-term value.

Project Origination

We identify and assess opportunities through market knowledge, technical screening, land analysis, regulatory assessment and commercial judgement. Early decisions are tested against the full project lifecycle.

  • Market and site screening
  • Land identification, negotiation and securing
  • Initial grid and infrastructure assessment
  • Development-risk and opportunity analysis
  • Preliminary project configuration and economics

Early-Stage Development

SES establishes the framework required to move a project from opportunity to a credible, executable asset, coordinating technical, environmental and regulatory workstreams while maintaining disciplined control of cost, timing and decisions.

  • Environmental and avian studies
  • Architectural, civil and technical studies
  • Permitting and regulatory strategy
  • Grid, access and infrastructure coordination
  • Development budgets, schedules and milestone control

Ready-to-Build Preparation

We progress projects towards Ready-to-Build status with the permits, rights, studies, design definition and commercial structure required for construction or investment. The precise RTB definition is agreed for each project and transaction.

02

Project Structuring and Optimisation

Technical development and financial structuring are undertaken in parallel. SES evaluates how design, technology, capital expenditure, operating assumptions, energy yield, revenue structure and financing affect value and risk.

  • Development and construction cost modelling
  • Operating and lifecycle financial modelling
  • Scenario, sensitivity and risk analysis
  • Bankability and capital-structure optimisation
  • PPA and offtake modelling

Technology and Hybrid Solutions

Technical and technological choices are treated as part of the same development discipline as land, permitting and finance, rather than as a separate workstream.

03

Hybrid Renewable Solutions

Where the resource, grid and commercial case support it, SES evaluates hybrid configurations combining solar with wind, hydro, storage or other complementary technologies. The objective is a stronger generation profile, improved infrastructure utilisation and a more resilient commercial proposition.

04

Technology in Development

SES uses digital tools, data analytics and carefully selected artificial-intelligence applications to improve screening, modelling, documentation, scenario testing and project control. Technology supports professional judgement; it does not replace engineering, legal or financial accountability.

Project Sales and Joint Ventures

SES develops projects for its own account and through partnership structures. Depending on the opportunity, we may retain ownership, establish a joint venture, enter a co-development arrangement or prepare the asset for sale to an institutional or industrial counterparty.

Our transaction experience enables us to anticipate the technical, legal, financial and documentation requirements of sophisticated buyers and partners before formal due diligence begins.

Have a project at any stage of development?

Whether you are screening a new site or preparing an asset for transaction, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss it.
